Mixed for you,
not picked off a chart
The same pigment heals warm on one mouth and grey on the next. So I mix your color in front of you and swatch it on your skin before anything permanent happens.
Bring the lipstick you actually wear. It helps more than a reference photo.
What actually happens
Two to three hours. One client, no assistant.
We talk first
What you want, and anything in your history that would mean waiting.
Shape drawn and agreed
Mapped by hand, asymmetry corrected. Nothing starts until you say yes in the mirror.
Colour mixed and swatched
Custom mix against your skin. You approve the shade the same way.
Numbing, then the work
Topical before and during. Single-use needles, sealed pigment, disinfection between clients.
Aftercare, out loud
I take you through the week before you leave, and you go home with it written down.
The color changes three times
Read this before you book, not on day four.
- Days 1–2
- Brighter and bigger than your result. Swollen and tender, like mild sunburn.
- Days 3–7
- The surface flakes off. Let it — picking is what makes a result patchy.
- Weeks 2–3
- The color looks gone. It is not. Everyone goes through this.
- Weeks 4–6
- Colour resurfaces and settles. This is the real result.
The first week
- Blot for the first few hours so no thick scab forms.
- Keep the balm on, thin and often.
- Do not pick or rub. Let the flaking finish.
- Straws for a couple of days. No lipstick until healed.
Skip for now
- Hot and spicy food while they are open.
- Sauna, pool and hard workouts, about a week.
- Direct sun — and SPF on the lips once healed.
- Peels, lasers and injectables near the mouth.

Lip questions I get most
Does it hurt?
Lips are the most sensitive area I work on, so I will not pretend you feel nothing. Most clients say uncomfortable rather than painful. Numbing goes on before and during.
How long does it last?
One to three years, depending on your skin and sun exposure. It fades gradually, so most clients come back for a refresh. SPF on your lips is what makes it last.
Will I need a second session?
Often, and that is normal. Colour goes in layers and skin keeps a different amount every time. We judge it together at four to six weeks.
My lips are naturally dark. Can I still have it?
Yes, but they need neutralizing first — usually a course rather than one appointment. Email me a daylight photo, no filter, and I will tell you what it will take before you book.
Will it make my lips look bigger?
It changes how they read, not their volume. A defined border and a gradient make a lip look fuller. It is not filler.
Can I have this with lip filler?
Yes, but not within the same few weeks. Tell me what you have had and when, and we will sequence the two.
I already have old permanent lips. Can they be fixed?
Often, but it depends what pigment is there and how deep. Sometimes I cover it, sometimes it has to be lightened first. Send a daylight photo and I will tell you which.
What does it cost?
Pricing lives in Square, where you also book, so what you see is today's price including any promotion. Correction work is quoted after I have seen your lips.
