Accessibility
I want anyone to be able to read about the studio and book an appointment, whatever they use to browse. This page says where the site stands, what is known to fall short, and how to reach me if something gets in your way.
The standard I aim for
The site is built towards WCAG 2.1 level AA, the benchmark used for public websites. It has not been certified by an outside auditor, so treat this as an honest account rather than a formal claim of conformance.
What is in place
- Every image carries a text description, and images that are purely decorative are marked so that screen readers skip them instead of reading filenames.
- The whole site works from the keyboard, with a visible outline showing where you are, and a skip link that jumps straight past the menu to the content.
- Headings run in order, so a screen reader can navigate the page by structure.
- Text contrast meets the AA threshold on both the dark and the light sections.
- Pages reflow to any window width down to a phone, and text can be enlarged without content being cut off.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, the entrance animations do not run.
- There are no forms, no pop-ups and no timed content anywhere on the site.
Known limitations
Being straight about what is not fixed:
- The short treatment clips on the home page play on a loop by design, and there is no button to stop them. They are silent and carry no information you need — everything they show is also described in the text beside them.
- The clips have no captions, as they contain no speech.
- The booking calendar is run by Square on its own site, so its accessibility is theirs rather than mine. If you cannot use it, call or email me and I will book you in myself.
If something does not work
Tell me and I will fix it, or find another way to get you what you need. Booking by phone or email is always available, and it is not a lesser option — you reach me directly either way.
